& Volunteer Placements
International students and graduates are linked with
local organizations in Buenos Aires (and Cape Town) to
provide free, skilled resources for concrete projects
(which we often help define) while students gain
real-world work experience. Services are free to local
organizations: businesses, financial firms, non-profits,
schools, research institutes, and health care clinics
etc. Screened applicants work as unpaid volunteers for 2
to 6 months, and we provide logistical requirements
prior to and during their stay. To date, we've worked
with students from over 280 universities and expect more
than 350 international students in 2010.

Al now hosts a weekly talk and music show -- in
English -- on Saturday mornings at 9:00 am.
The show airs on Urbana at 89.5 FM. Appropriately
for the hour in BsAs, it is called "Rise and
Shine". The show generally features a
broad array of guests and themes, as broad as you
can get in Buenos Aires, which is pretty broad,
wouldn't you say?!
We are told that it is the only show of its kind on
the air here. Scheduled guests so far include
Argentine jazz stars, wine experts and foreign
ambassadors. Hope you tune in.
